At Mending Hope Equine Rescue, we are dedicated to rescuing equines, with a focus on Mustangs, from abusive, dangerous, and neglectful situations. We gentle the horses and provide training, medical and behavioral rehabilitation, and a safe refuge until a forever home can be found, even if that means permanent sanctuary with us.

We also believe in the positive impact horses can have on people. Through 4 Hooves Healing Heroes, created in partnership with Patriot Horsemanship, we provide free equine-assisted activities for veterans and active-duty service members. Through Healing Hooves, our rescue horses visit skilled nursing facilities, providing residents with opportunities for comfort and meaningful interaction.

We also work to educate others about Mustang handling, equine abuse, and responsible horsemanship while giving rescued equines the opportunity for a better future.
